Lync QuickTake: Report Says 68% of Enterprises View Mobile Devices as Primary Endpoint

 

David Byrd over at ChannelPartners has an article titled “Mobility and UC” and he has some interesting stats and forcasts by Frost & Sullivan:

• UC Clients by 2016 forcast reduced to 30m from 50m due to mobile devices
• 68% of Enterprises veiw mobile devices as primary communication endpoint
• The debate about BYOD is over: this is the future
• Tablets for business: 10% today, 70% in 2016
• Desktop phone will drop from 37% to 20% by 2016

So perhaps my offhand comment on a busy day is more true that I thought?
”The mobile device is the communication endpoint of tomorrow?”
