6/2014 UPDATE: Attendant Pro for Lync has been released and Trial is available! Click Here
The team at Landis Computer Technology Solutions is excited about our Lync 2013 Attendant Pro product that is currently in final stages of development. We wanted to give you a little glimpse at what we have planned for this new commercial product and an opportunity to sign up for a limited BETA that is coming soon.
What are the core design goals of Microsoft Lync 2013 Attendant Pro?
- Modern Look & Feel: Lync 2013 Optimized Product
- Simple to Implement: Requires no additional server or backend components
- Broad Device Interoperability: Works with Lync Phone Edition and Lync Qualified devices that support Better Together over Ethernet (Polycom VVX and snom UC Edition) and your favorite Lync Optimized USB headset
- Maximize Efficiency: Single Click or Touch for often repeated voice handling tasks
- UC Functionality Not Compromised: Video, Desktop Sharing, Conferencing, Instant Message functionality available to Attendant Pro user
Modern Look & Feel: The Lync 2013 Attendant Pro has the same look and feel as the Lync 2013 client. This means user training required is minimal. Clean look, informative tiles, and user photos are some of the components that make the Attendant Pro a fresh and brilliant experience.
Simple to Implement: No server side component required: Just install a simple Windows app to your PCs. Lync 2013 Attendant Pro supplements the existing Lync 2013 client and brings optimized voice call handling functionality to your receptionist/attendant users.
Lync contact Groups and Exchange Distribution Lists that are already setup in the Lync client automatically flow to Attendant Pro.
Maximize Efficiency: The Lync 2013 Attendant Pro makes handling a large volume of the voice calls as efficient as possible. Common call handling functions like transfer are always 1 click away. Hold, Park, Blind Transfer, Safe Transfer or Consultative transfer are never more than 1 click plus contact.
Who is “In a Call” Literally a Glance: Unique “In a Call” presence indicator shows users who actually on the phone versus in a meeting at a glance across a large group of users.
Incoming, Current and Handled calls are presented in a logical and easy to understand format. Interacting with calls in any of these states is 1 click. At a glance get a complete view of Handled calls: on hold or park, Park#, Holding time, complete waiting time and more.
Mouse or Touch Friendly user interface
Call Pop via the web service of your choice means you can easily connect Lync and your CRM, ERP, SQL Reporting Services report or other business specific information with no programming or custom CEBP development.
Broad Device Interoperability: Microsoft Lync Attendant Pro works with Lync Phone Edition devices with USB Better Together: Polycom CX600, HP 4120, Aastra 6725ip. The Attendant Pro also works with the new generation of Lync Compatible devices with Better Together over Ethernet by Polycom and snom. It goes without saying that Lync Optimized USB Headsets and devices like Polycom CX300 work as well.
UC Functionality Not Compromised: Just because a receptionist may spend a lot of time handling voice calls does not mean they want to loose the collaborative power of Microsoft Lync. Features like group instant message, video calling, meeting join and desk sharing or viewing are all available since the Lync client runs in parallel with the Attendant Pro.

Amazing, I would love to use this.
ReplyDeleteThe web service call pop is a feature that can help with the Response Group not displaying caller name issue.
DeleteWonderful blog I love reading your blog. Good job and great efforts. Keep it up.

Nice job Matt!
ReplyDeletethanks Paul
DeleteAwesome stuff! Happy to test for you down here in New Zealand :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent, we still have a gap in our portfolio offering for the Operator Console and am very interested in looking at this product and testing to see early visibility.
ReplyDeleteDoes this app still have chat capabilities? And can you search users with wildcards?
ReplyDeleteUC Functionality Not Compromised: Video, Desktop Sharing, Conferencing, Instant Message functionality available to Attendant Pro user.
DeleteNice looking client, Matt!
Matt - we have a 2013 deployement underway where this could be a fit. Customer is looking for a way to handle high call volumes and is wanting to use shortcut key(s) or macros to process. "Better together" may be a viable alternative. Also - customerwould like a "common" attendant account that staff manning the console use, as well as maintain their individual accounts whil amming the console - think of this as 2 Lync clinets running on the same PC..Any thoughts/suggestions?
ReplyDeleteAny ETA on the release date?
ReplyDeleteBETA1 is in progress.
Deletehello i need the lync 2013 attendant Pro for evaluation purpose. How can i download it?. I filled the form already.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Is it also possible to view Lync call queue's? This is a major request from many customers.
ReplyDeleteNot at the moment. What call queue info would you want?
DeleteTo see the current amount of calls waiting per queue.
DeleteTo see the current calls in the queue with incoming phonennumber. Agents can possibly anticipate on particular incoming calls. These items would make the attendant software for an agent far more useful in my opinion. Kind regards
Hi Matt, any chance of getting on the beta program for this, I've submitted the app a couple of times. We're trying to compile a short list of viable Attendant replacements before deciding on something to support our Lync deployments going forward. Thanks, Ben.
ReplyDeleteHi Matt, I also tried to register for the beta program a few times.
ReplyDeleteAs a System Engineer, I implement Lync Server on a regular basis. Several customers do feel the need for a decent software for their reception users.
Any chance I could participate in this beta program?
Thank You Matt, would love to be a Beta tester. I have a group of Executive Assistance that are used to the OLD school phone system. The 2013 LYNC Client does not have the features they are looking for. The 2010 attendant was a little clunky. This seems like a product that will suit there needs and connect up with CX600 phones that we have.
ReplyDeleteWe would also love to BETA test for you. We have just deployed Lync 2013 at our Council, replacing our old PBX. Our user base spans many generations and I think this would go a long way to help some of those users adjust to the different ways of working that they have found to be challenging.
ReplyDeleteHi Matt, The software looks create. Can we test the beta version of Lync 2013 Attendant Pro and any new ETA on the release date?
ReplyDeleteHi Matt, do you have any idea which date it will be released? I need it ASAP :)
ReplyDeleteAvailable immediately at http://landiscomputer.com/attendantpro
DeleteWhen do you expect the product to become Microsoft Certified?
ReplyDeleteIt is now Microsoft Platform Ready /Lync 2013 Validated. ATM still waiting for it to show up on the Microsoft site.
DeleteMatt,
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me if the product is ready for download on the Microsoft site?
Question -- which hardware does this work best with? I've told the Surface Pro 3 doesn't handle it well at all -- anyone have a favorable experience with a certain type of device?
ReplyDeleteFull size monitor is best experience. For more input from others, feel free to join https://www.yammer.com/attendantpro/
